Active Physiotherapy is Quality Endorsed (Nationally Accredited) under the APA QEP Program. This means we have met standards of safety and quality. Accreditation is voluntary, and means we provide a higher level of:

    • Staff training and education
    • Hygiene and safety
    • Record keeping
    • Commitment to patients’ rights and needs

Mission Statement:

We will provide our patients with a high standard of physiotherapy treatment based on current research to achieve the best possible outcomes. We emphasise the return to independence for patients through self management, education, feedback, home programs and follow-up with other Health Providers.

Location

Active Physiotherapy is located at 44 Howick St, South Launceston, just around the corner from the Launceston General Hospital. There is on-site parking and disabled access.

History

Active Physiotherapy was established in 2001, with the merging of two Physiotherapy practices. Prior to this, the physiotherapy businesses were trading as Sally McLaine Physiotherapy and South Launceston Physiotherapy. In August 2004, Active Physiotherapy moved to new premises in Howick Street.
